Use of LED sensor lamps

LED sensor lamps are designed for use in outdoor luminaires. They automatically turn on at the onset of darkness and turn off after sunrise. The lamps are equipped with one or two photodiodes, which trigger the switching command based on the intensity of UV radiation. The photodiodes must be able to receive daylight without interference or shading as far as possible.

In luminaires with a strongly shielding housing, with opalized or colored glass, on hazy, foggy days and as a result of other environmental influences, the sensors switch on earlier and off later according to the attenuation of the UV radiation. Luminaires with clear glass are ideal.
