Gnosjö Konstsmide was founded in 1942 in Gnosjö in Småland and is part of the family-run group "Gunnar Johansson Gruppen AB". The group employs about 200 people, of which about 45 work at the head office in Gnosjö. The remaining employees work in subsidiaries in Germany, England, Finland, Hungary, Poland, Holland, Hong Kong and Norway.

Current owners are brothers Peter, Janne, Jonas and Daniel Johansson. Konstsmide's ambition is to always be the customer's first choice when it comes to Christmas and outdoor lighting. We achieve this by offering a complete and very competitive range with the best quality imaginable, as well as delivery reliability and service at the highest level.

As early as 1947, Konstsmide stood for the absolute first Advent chandelier mass-produced in Sweden. After that, Konstsmide have proven time and again that investing in innovation, solid craftsmanship and long-term business relationships are worthwhile in the long run.

Innovation and quality are the basis on which Konstsmide operates; now as then and in the future. Being innovative is a prerequisite for producing durable and environmentally friendly products that meet our customers' needs. The fact that we were the first in the world to use LED technology in our Christmas lighting in the mid-nineties still gives us a head start today. The courage to try new things and be a pioneer is simply in our DNA.

In order to always offer safe and durable products, a strong quality mindset must underlie everything we do. We monitor production in our own factories in Sweden and Hungary and work closely with our partners in China. In addition, products undergo extensive third-party testing to ensure they are the safest on the market.
